Walt Disney World is a place for families, including all ages. Don’t be confused, because of the high-tech rides, into thinking it’s not a good place for young children. There are some attractions that have height requirements and age limits. However, there is plenty to be seen and enjoyed by a seven-year-old.
Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland has The Magic Carpets of Alladdin, and the Swiss family Treehouse. Continue on into Frontier land, and you’ll find the Country Bear Jamboree, as well as, the Frontierland Shooting Arcade. Tom Sawyer Island can be a blast for all young children.
Liberty Square is pretty easy-going with all three attractions being very mild. The Hall of Presidents, Liberty Belle Riverboat, and even The Haunted Mansion. The Haunted Mansion sounds scary, but it’s pretty humorous and the ride is not aproblem.
Fantasyland has Cinderella’s Golden carousel, Dumbo, It’s a Small World, The Mad Tea Party, Winnie the Pooh, and Peter Pan’s flight. All these are appropriate for children under nine.
Tomorrowland can be a little intimidating with its futuristic look. You’ve got the Astro orbiter, that looks pretty scary from the outside, but the ride itself is not. Tomorrowland Transit Authority and Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress are fine for small children.
Epcot has some cute fun rides, starting with The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Turtle Talk with Crush, and Cranium Command.
Of course, all children differ in nature, some are more mature than others. The sheer name of an attraction could scare some young children, while others don’t necessarily respond to the name of an attraction.
You as a parent know your child’s best, so use your best judgment in what your child will enjoy during their the Disney experience.
